Journal Editing:

Edited a renowned Bengali Magazine, named Dyotona (Vol. 25, Issue 1, Jan – Feb, 2004), as a Member of the Editorial Group. The issue deals with and addresses the question of language politics in the sub- Himalayan districts of West Bengal, brewing up and gaining momentum rapidly in the recent years and contributes considerably to the history of the local language study and the Lingual Human Rights Movement of the area.

Memberships:

Rajadipta Roy is a Life Member of the IACLALS [Membership No. – 2011-L227] since 2011. IACLALS is the Indian Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies – is the officially recognised Indian chapter of the international ACLALS (Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies). Iaclals started in India in 1974.

Roy is also a Member of the Shakespeare Society of Eastern India (Card No. – S/RR/SEP/21/GM/21-11-12) since 22.09.2011.

Representations In Academic/ University Bodies:

Roy had remained a Member of the Board of Studies in English (Undergraduate Level) in the North Bengal University for two consecutive terms of 4 years each since 2004 to 2011.

Roy was also elected to the 7th Court of the North Bengal University from the Constituency of the Teachers of affiliated Colleges as a Member in the year 2010, and served the term w.e.f. the 29th June, 2010 up to the Termination of every such Bodies democratically elected at the University Levels all over the State by the Govt. of West Bengal in the year 2011. As per Section 17 (1) (b) (xiv) of the North Bengal University Act, 1981, the Court is the Highest Body of Regulation in the North Bengal University.

Corporate Participation:

Roy takes keen interest in the fields of Bengali Literature and Culture and has been selected as Resource Person/ Member in Panel Discussions held by the Poshchimbanga Bangla Akademi, Department of Information & Culture of the Govt. of West Bengal several times over the years.

Acted as a Member of an Inspection Team, nominated by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE), WHICH IS A Statutory Body under the Govt. of West Bengal Act XXI of 1995 in the year 2011.

Interviewed the famous Bengali Intellectual, Tagore-expert and eminent Professor Dr. Asrukumar Sikder on 2009 in a Talk Show of the Doordarshan Kendra, Jalpaiguri, which is a centre of the Prasar Bharati of the Govt. of India.
