DR. DEBKUMAR MUKHERJEE

Based on the guidelines laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Maynaguri College is situated in the UGC-recognised Backward District. In spite of this impediment, in 2007, Maynaguri College, being the youngest college under the University of North Bengal, got accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade “B”. In 2016, we improved upon our previous grade and got re-accredited by the NAAC with an impressive “B+” grade.

There is a special Study Center of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) which provides opportunities for higher education in a non-formal mode to the students who have been deprived of formal education but are desirous of improving their academic career.

The College has also signed an MoU with Netaji Subhas Open University and is about to start a study center from the academic session 2017-2018.
